some things to know about our pricing & payments

Smitty Sitting understands how expensive kenneling animals can be, and we strive to provide an affordable service. We want to hear what kind of budget you are on and work with it best we can. That being said, we Create our pricing after evaluating our customers' info and application. Meaning we cannot guarantee staying at your desired budget, but we will try our best to have a comfortable price for you.

We accept Cash, Venmo, and Cash-App
(We do charge a small fee when using Venmo/Cash App)

We’re unable to give a price estimate before customers fill out our application questions. This is because we take into consideration, location, travel/gas, number of animals, types of animals, animal behavior, vacation length, and more.

We require payment prior to your booked dates, no later than the day you leave for your trip. Ensuring your spot on our calendar, and security for our sitters.

 Starting Price points

These are example prices to give you an idea of what price range you’re looking at when booking with Smitty Sitting. Please keep in mind that we are unable to give you an exact price before evaluating your Home/Pet applications. We take into consideration many things like, gas/travel, number of pets, pet size,
pet behavioral habits, any extra care needed, etc.

  • Here at Smitty Sitting we know how stressful letting someone you don’t know stay at your house and watch your faithful, furry friends.
    Schedule a meet and greet with us and ensure our Sitters are a good fit for you and your pets!
    One meet & greet consists of one of our Sitter’s coming over to shake hands with you and your pets. This allows you to show them around, go over your home and pet care routines, and simply get to know one another.

    For a one-day meet & greet
    (Our sitters drive to your house and leave the same day)
    $20.00 + An additional charge for gas and travel.

  • Emergencies happen! Last minute plans pop up! We completely understand if you are needing to cancel your house-sitting plans. Here are a few things to know:

    We charge half your estimated house-sitting price when canceling 14 days prior to your trip. Anything over 14 days we do not charge.

  • $0.30 per mile
    (We charge for our sitters drive to your home, and back to their home.)

  • (Weight up to 19 pounds)

    1 Small dog per day = $18.00

  • (Weight 20 - 49 pounds)

    1 Medium dog per day = $20.00

  • (Weight 50 - 99 pounds)

    1 Large dog per day = $25.00

  • (Weight 100 pounds and over)

    1 Extra-Large dog per day = $30.00

  • 1 cat per day = $15.00

  • Farm animals include but are not limited to, goats, pigs, horses, donkeys, mules, sheep, cows, etc.

    (Prices will vary depending on animal amount, type, and care plan)

    Farm animal per day = $30 - $50

  • This category includes but is not limited to:
    Chickens, ducks, pigeons, guineafowls, turkeys, geese, etc.

    One coop/pen per day = $15.00

  • Depending on whether you are needing cage maintenance prices may vary.

    1 indoor bird per day = $15.00

  • Depending on whether you are needing cage maintenance prices may vary.

    1 Rodent per day = $15.00

  • We do not clean aquariums

    1 fish tank per day = $5.00

  • We do not clean cages
    We do not do live feedings

    1 Reptile per day = $15.00

  • Leaving your home unattended for long periods of time can be stressful. You don’t need furry friends to book a house sitter with us. Book with us to take care of your home and give you peace of mind while you’re away.

  • When booking with us we understand you may be needing more than just pet care. Here at Smitty Sitting we are very experienced with many different types of care and want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. Here are just some of the things you can ask to add on to our services to make your booking as customized as possible.

We charge a five-to-ten-dollar fee when using Cash App or Venmo as your choice of payment
We accept all payments before our house sitting and your vacations starts.
Our last day to accept payments is the day you leave on your trip. If you are unable to pay us by that time, we will be unable to sit for you.
Prices vary depending on your house/pet information. A price estimate will be emailed to you after you’ve sent, and we’ve evaluated your application.
